History
Groupe MM is a Quebec-owned enterprise created by Mario Morin in 1990. We offer experience and superior quality service for repairing and restoring car interiors, furniture and other types of equipment.
Mario Morin started his career in Montreal, working for a company specialising in plastic finishes. When the company diversified to vinyl finishes, Mario went to Vancouver for training sessions in mastering this technique
In 1990, Mario launched his own company and developed his own brand of techniques using all he had learned and absorbed over the course of his career. At first, the company offered a mobile service, at the customer’s place of business or residence. In 2000, to meet an increasing demand for his services, Mario Morin opened a custom shop in the Parc Colbert, in Ste-Foy.
Network
Today, Groupe MM covers a very large part of the territory of the Province of Quebec while remaining very close to its customers, offering personalised and quick service. How is this possible? Because Groupe MM relies on its own network!
Starting in 1998, because its specialised services were in constant demand, Réparation MM Vinyle decided to expand.
Mario Morin undertook this expansion with the same respect and preservation techniques that served as a basis for his earlier successes. He developed a plan for expansion based on formal agreements that included respect of the territory and of the concept. He offered training to his associated and revealed his methods. He also sold territories and created market affiliations, with a non-competitive clause. These agreements were entered into with experts who thoroughly learned Mario’s techniques and agreed to give the same quality service.
The network got its start with a first member on Québec’s South Shore in 1998, then moved on in 1999 to the Mauricie region and, in 2000, to the Eastern Townships, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Charlevoix, Rimouski and the South Shore of Montreal. Other members will soon join the group.
